April 20th will mark a full year since Big V released his highly anticipated mixtape "NO COUNTRY FOR QUITTERS." The 10-track cd smashed the ears of listeners, track by track, and was deemed "the soundtrack for the blue collar world" by this50.com.(http://www.thisis50.com/profiles/blogs/this-is-no-country-for-quitters-meet-bigvskyzone). The mixtape also earned him a featured artist slot on 258mafia.com, as it also sparked the eastern north carolina region during a slow time for independent hip hop in 2014. Big V stepped out on a limb and distributed the mixtape himself digitally through his website(this one) using Paypal. He gained some fans and lost some, as many thought he would put it out for free as he has done in the past. But he bossed up and his move was successful.
This 4/20, Big V will be releasing the follow up to his last mixtape-NO COUNTRY FOR QUITTERS 2. But thats not it. Along with his mixtape, he will be releasing a DVD entitled NO COUNTRY FOR QUITTERS-THE MINI MOVIE, which was scheduled to drop a few months ago, but was pushed back. Go beyond the music with Big V as he breaks down songs, tells stories, and give you the man behind the music. The DVD will also include never before seen videos from the NO COUNTRY FOR QUITTERS mixtapes. Be sure to check the trailer out below.
The mixtape and DVD will be distributed by Big V and sold for $12. All pre orders come with a t-shirt that will display the NCFQ 2 cd cover, which will be released soon!! T-shirts will be ranging from S-2XL, so if you cant fit those sizes, just consider the tee as keepsake. No word on the producers who will be contributing to the mixtape, but judging by the first one, we can expect a selective orchestra tailored for Big V.
